I like this - I notice, at least on portrait orientation of iPad that the footer is not at the bottom of the screen?

How could we make sure it is sitting at the bottom no matter what the size of screen?

Thanks

Your tutorials are very helpful thank you, but in this case, I can't get an invisible line with drop shadow produced. And, are you saving the gif image as in 1px x 500 or 1px sq? These are the only things unclear. Any help appreciated.

It's great that you have taken the time out to write such an in depth piece. and as you say in your conclusion many people will argue with you on this.I confess I am one. This only works because you have conveniently put matching content lengths in your sidebars. I would love to see it done again with one shorter than the other. The basic concept is solid however. I am almost certain height is not cross browser as a measurement either.Good work. Oh sort out the carriage return on this box, Maybe set it to multi line?
