This works, though not with roll-over images… I created an image link and when you hover over it, the replacement image still has a white background (no transparency)… any ideas?

is “if less than IE7″ not “IE 7 or later” or “IE 7 and below” as you have put.

tried it, can’t get it to work in IE6.
just shows a white background.

Hi Chris, I remember directing you hear from codingforums.com so I went back and found your post. The link you provide at the top of the post shows me that this is not an issue you can resolve with a transparent PNG file. I did leave a suggestion to you back at the forums.

@1million, Indeed you are correct, you cant use background positions with PNG24 alpha images and IE6. Its just what it is. Sad fact is, I don’t think there is any solution to the background repeating problem. I might be wrong, but from everything I have s
